Neurodiversity at Westbury

This week, as well as celebrating all things STEM related, we've also been learning about what neurodiversity means and about some famous people who self-identify as being neurodiverse.  We took part in a whole school lesson to help us all to learn how it feels to be a learner who is different from others.  Year 3 had a visit from Dr Sanderson who helped them to learn how neuropsychologists study how our brains work and how for some people, neurodiversity helps them to achieve excellence in their chosen field.  Mr Gill, brother of our very own Miss Gill in Year 4, also kindly shared the following video with us where he talked about his experience of dyslexia.  To view this, please click here.
