Redmaids High Gifted and Talented Experience day
On Thursday 12th January, five Year 6 children attended a Chemistry Day at Redmaids High School as part of the ChemLabs outreach project run by Bristol University. The children explored the properties of liquid nitrogen, elephant’s toothpaste (!) and even exploded some hydrogen-filled balloons during an assembly. In the afternoon, the Year 6s joined a number of other primary schools in the science laboratories to carry out some exciting investigations. As always, the children were exemplary in their behaviour, and asked some thought provoking questions and made excellent observations. Thank you to Redmaids and Bristol University for hosting and putting on a fun-filled day of science!
