Art Club Exhibition
Celebrating Our Art Club’s Collaborative Exhibition Piece
During Terms 5 and 6, our Art Club pupils worked together to create a stunning collaborative artwork for a special exhibition featuring schools across North Bristol, all part of our NW21 partnership. Their finished piece was proudly displayed at St Mary’s Church in Stoke Bishop from Tuesday 1st July to Friday 4th July.
The children’s artwork was a creative response to Samuel Jackson’s View of the Avon at Hotwells. Drawing inspiration from Jackson’s depiction of the Bristol landscape, pupils explored a wide range of artistic techniques throughout the project. They experimented with collagraph printing to create textured boats and used marbling to craft a vibrant, swirling sunset sky. The surrounding scenery was brought to life with oil pastel trees, and individual sketches of the iconic suspension bridge were collaged together to form an abstract interpretation of the landmark.
This final piece beautifully reflects our pupils' shared creativity, their connection to the local landscape, and the joy of making art together.
