Computational Thinking success at Westbury!
The results of the BEBRAs computational thinking challenge which Year 5 and 6 took part in have just arrived and Miss Pugh is very pleased and proud to announce that in Year 5, Aine, Alannah, Sophia C, Sophie L, Amy and Amelia, achieved certificates of Distinction which put them in the top 25% of entrants in their age bracket. Owen and Isaac J achieved the top score in both our school and the country achieving an incredible 100%. In Year 6, Nicholas, Jake, Grace, Rory, Bethan and Emma H all also achieved certificates of Distinction in their tougher "Junior" category and Matthew, Nicholas and Alex achieved Gold awards which put them in the top 10% of entrants nationally. The gold award winners from Year 6 have therefore been invited to take part in the next round of the challenge which is organised by Oxford University and will take place in February. Good luck Matthew, Nicholas and Alex!
